Kept getting messages on screen saying that the tape drive wasn't on-line or the tape was write protected, neither was the case. So I did a Kill/Run cycle and cleaned the tape drive for good measure, Patrol is running correctly now. Did a Kill/Run cycle to fix it. WEATHER COMMENT: Fri May 2 17:46:23 GMT 1997 Sky is getting brighter, maybe due to very thin cirrostratus. WEATHER COMMENT: Fri May 2 18:46:49 GMT 1997 Wind is starting to blow up from the construction site occasionally. MKIII COMMENT: Fri May 2 18:52:19 GMT 1997 Started a calibration a while back but the cirrus moved in and ruined it. I will let it run through to the end but it is No Good. CHIP COMMENT: Fri May 2 20:17:38 GMT 1997 Noticed "Tape I/O error" messages on the screen but had to wait for cal to finish before being able to stop the Patrol. Will try a Kill/Run cycle first before removing the tape and cleaning the drive again and trying another tape. Fri May 2 20:23:51 GMT 1997 dPMon End Patrol WEATHER COMMENT: Fri May 2 20:24:41 GMT 1997 Wind is constantly blowing from the North (where the construction is) now, and they are using the Excavator to chip apart the basalt again so there is a lot of dust starting to come up this way. The sky is getting solidly clouded with thin to medium cirrus anyway so observing may be finished for today. I've stopped all instruments and closed the dome for now. CHIP COMMENT: Fri May 2 21:50:29 GMT 1997 Didn't get a chance to try again with another tape due to clouds and dust.
