----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mauna Loa Solar Observatory Observer's Log ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wed Dec 3 17:03:00 GMT 1997 Year: 97 Doy: 337 Observer: koon WEATHER COMMENT: Wed Dec 3 17:03:07 GMT 1997 Thick altocumulus with medium cirrostratus above that, wind=5 mph from the SE, temp=38 F. COMMENT: Wed Dec 3 17:05:39 GMT 1997 Will wait for clouds to clear before opening the dome and observing. COMMENT: Wed Dec 3 17:13:05 GMT 1997 The retaining compound did stick those 2 washers together even though there is still some compound in a liquid state at the edges of the bond. So I guess it dries better in crevices with very little compound present. Anyway, this means that the bond at the gear/shaft interface for the PICS optical stage should be cured and ready for testing.
