There are three layers of thick clouds. brisk southeast wind. LOW-L COMMENT: Fri Jan 22 17:34:25 GMT 1999 LOWL date and time correct. PICS COMMENT: Fri Jan 22 20:47:09 GMT 1999 New filters in place, 656.3 where 657.1 was, and 657.4 where clear was. Halle filter Tuning knob adjusted, set back to 0.00 center wavelength. PICS COMMENT: Sat Jan 23 00:08:11 GMT 1999 Confirmed with David that Halle filter thermostat is set at 7.54. Locked down the potentiometer knob. Swapped out the bad shutter and controller board in Kodak Megaplus camera. Dusted off CCD. After looking the task over and discussing options with Clarke and David, Removing the camera in its mount was seen as very difficult and Clarke felt that there would be no advantage of doing it that way than by just removing the camera if we were careful. I Removed the camera by loosening the single set screw on the east side of the mount while not touching the two set screws on the west side of the mount. David modified the software to address the new filters via net to save time. I rebooted nene after all mods were complete. Halle filter tuning test as specified in email has NOT been done as it is cloudy. COMMENT: Sat Jan 23 00:23:39 GMT 1999 No observations, cloudy, foggy and drizzly all day. LOW-L COMMENT: Sat Jan 23 00:24:34 GMT 1999 Date and time OK. Sat Jan 23 00:24:53 GMT 1999 MkIII
