WEATHER COMMENT: Tue Apr 23 17:01:31 GMT 2002 Scattered thin cirrus streaks ahead of heavier, more extensive cirrus to west. **ECHO PROBLEM**: Tue Apr 23 17:22:34 GMT 2002 ECHO image is again down partially beyond the lower right corner of the display, HA error = -0.002 and DEC error = -0.000. I will wait a wwhile and then try Greg's suggestion that I cover the lightfeed and check the quad cell values to look for electrical offsets. **ECHO PROBLEM**: Tue Apr 23 17:33:19 GMT 2002 Images now centered with no interaction by me. COMMENT: Tue Apr 23 18:30:48 GMT 2002 In a three-way conversation between Jason, Verizon, and me, it appears that there was a misunderstanding in the work order in the way the network connection was to be configured. Jason had to leave for a meeting and the Verizon engineer had noted that comments about the work order indicated the system was configured different from the way Jason says he specified (configured as SF and AMI, I think he wanted it ESF and B8ZS)it. Verizon was in the process of locating the original work order to find out where the mixup was when Jason had to leave. He will call them back when he is done, I'm not sure whether I'll be in on the call or not. GONG COMMENT: Tue Apr 23 18:40:51 GMT 2002 Going down to GONG to do weekly PM while Jason is out. It was specified this way by Peter Fox because of some older radio equipment at the Pohakuloa end that the Army and UCAR did not want to fund an upgrade. When the decision was made to use the older configuration, no one informed Jason at MHPCC which is why he was using the other configuration to test the system. Now that everyone in on the same page, the system tests OK and we can proceed to test connectivity with the switch and then the various periferals and computers.
