Looks like the dome will not be a drop in fit. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Oct 28 23:18:26 GMT 2015 Sky looks to be getting hazy to the south. And low clouds are starting to move up form the saddle. ___end___ Wed Oct 28 23:46:56 GMT 2015 KCOR End Patrol GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Thu Oct 29 02:29:31 GMT 2015 Contractors left for the day. Some tar-paper removed from the main dome. Still need to get the paper behind the Kcor nema boxes. HVac system has now been removed form the mountain. Temporary metal sheeting is now covering the two holes. Main dome construction started today the bottom ring and rollers have all been assembled. Unfortunately it looks like the new design is different from the old design which may require cutting 9-14 inches off the the top of the dome wall to get the new aperture height to match the old height. Project manager and architect will be up tomorrow to check this out and figure out how to proceed from here. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Thu Oct 29 02:30:26 GMT 2015 Clounds looked like they were going to lift over the last couple hours but we had persistant fog near by and the haze has increase to the point of likly destroying observervations if it was safe to make them. ___end___
