Occulter was removed from its post and carefully inspected around the diamond turned edge focusing on the east and west edges. East wedge looked nonimal. The west edge (slightly south of West), showed some sort of artifact likley a tiny bit of black spray paint. At this time no effort was made to clean up the edge. Occulter was reinstalled in what appears to be the position and orientation it was removed from the telescope. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY stueben: Tue May 01 23:35:59 GMT 2018 Got NOAA to install a new battery in the davis station, this should prevent the weather data dropouts from happening like we have been seeing overnight and under heavy clouds over the last week. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY stueben: Tue May 01 23:40:00 GMT 2018 COSMIC work: Equpiment setup in the control room.
