Cumulus clouds coming up from the Southeast and currently mist passing through the observatory at the moment. Cirrus above the cumulus; keeping the dome closed until better conditions present itself. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Fri Aug 3 16:21:38 GMT 2018 The Vantage box (our surge protector) outside was sounding an alarm this morning when I came in. The TVSS Status was red and on the box, it said that when red, replace the module(s). Disabled the alarm and will be looking into it. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Fri Aug 3 18:28:30 GMT 2018 Mist cleared and the cumulus moved lower down the mountain. Opened the dome and am tracking the Sun but it is way too bright to take any data. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Fri Aug 3 20:06:42 GMT 2018 Seems like we don't have any spare modules for the surge protector on the deck outside. Allen will have to put in an order.___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Fri Aug 3 20:08:12 GMT 2018 Clouds look dark above the observatory, closed the dome. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Fri Aug 3 21:09:26 GMT 2018 Thought we had a break in the sky but it's too bright to take data. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Fri Aug 3 21:10:44 GMT 2018 Windows opened upstairs ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Fri Aug 3 21:26:15 GMT 2018 Closed the dome real fast due to mist coming in. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Fri Aug 3 23:02:08 GMT 2018 Bit of rain coming down ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Sat Aug 4 01:26:20 GMT 2018 Unfortunately the bright sky, cirrus, mist and clouds made it impossible to take data today.
