So it was decided to attempt another o1 rotation along with blowing off the back side to try and get the bullet holes below the south pole. On inspection of the kcor O1 in full sunlight it was found to have multiple feature/spots. A few of these looked like the sharp edges of soapy blots. And otherwise there was just a sort of hazy film most places. An initial attempt was made to clean the lens with soap and water but minimal progress was made. So we attempted a second cleaning with first contact. This seemed to work pretty well expect a few spots that the material was to thin on the back side so we needed alcohol followed by soap and water to remove this reside. When installing the O1 it was rotated about 90 degrees clock wise (when looking down at the cameras) form the nominal orientation we have been using for the last couple years. Over all the lens looks to be in a lot better shape than this morning. Final inspection and install where done with bright lamp up stairs since is currently heavy overcast outside. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY lisapg: Thu Feb 17 02:36:37 GMT 2022 Not too bad a day for data, unfortunately no data past 10:38HST. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: berkey, lisapg
