Cool, Clear sky, light wind from the southeast.

DPMON COMMENT: Sun Mar 20 17:54:53 GMT 1994
Can't control the Bench Angle from the control room interface. I can move
it manually from upstairs and the clock drive appears to be working, but
the angle readout doesn't match the actual position.

DPMON COMMENT: Sun Mar 20 18:06:36 GMT 1994
Bench was upside down, I manually slewed it to approximately correct position
and then the manual "control room" controls worked OK. Not sure why the
bench was in that position or why it doesn't work properly from that position
but normally this isn't an initial starting position.

DPMON COMMENT: Sun Mar 20 18:30:37 GMT 1994
Noticed that the disk images were very overexposed, stopped Patrol and
manually tested exposure times. The disk looked featureless indicating a
possible filter problem. Went upstairs and felt the Daystar filter, it was
cold. Couldn't find any problem with wiring, unplugged filter and tested
the circuit it was on, circuit was good so I plugged the filter back in and
it started to get warm, possble flaky extension cord plug, will replace it.

Spar wasn't guiding, repointed and reset guider.

DPMON COMMENT: Sun Mar 20 19:31:17 GMT 1994
Having problems with the Daystar filter again, it went cold.

DPMON COMMENT: Sun Mar 20 21:35:18 GMT 1994
Couldn't get Daystar filter to heat up again. Can feel heat at control box
so electricity is getting that far. Opened box but didn't see any broken
wires or burnt parts. Pulled entire filter out and will test it at bench.
taped over the filter aperture and set disk exposures way down to 1/100
of a second so that the patrol program can be used for limb observations while
we work on the filter (I wasn't sure if I could set the exposure to 0 w/o
crashing the program). Will contact the Daystar company for schematics
if necessary during the week.
