Cool, clear, light south breeze. Temp = 46 F.
Low-L running this morning, cranking data onto L00037 in unit 1
still. Rewound video tape for tonight's "hunting" expedition.

MKIII COMMENT: Fri May 6 17:05:17 GMT 1994
Loaf of bread display high this morning. Lots of haze in saddle
apparently to altitudes higher than Mauna Kea summit, sky a dirty
white near sun.

DPMON COMMENT: Fri May 6 17:08:09 GMT 1994
Daystar filter feels warm to the touch, probably working OK.
Disc looks barren, but may try running thru a temperature range
of 1.0 to 8.0 to see if contrast improves at other than 5.00 temp.
setting.

DPMON COMMENT: Fri May 6 21:09:37 GMT 1994
Tried varying exposure in limb mode to see if we could converge on
the same exposure for limb and disk mode. Using 50 for limb darkens
the background and causes some of the fainter small prominences to
get very faint. Brighter prominences do not suffer as much.

Daystar teemp set at 8.0

and # summed = 4.

Daystar temperature test summary: 5.0 looks best.
Will need to wait for a day with more structure on disc to
determine any further improvement.
