DPMON COMMENT: Wed Jul 6 17:17:50 GMT 1994
Daystar filter was moving in and out so I recycled the Plessey and kept
everything running, this should work as long as the diffuser isn't in the path

Wed Jul 6 17:27:07 GMT 1994: Patrol Start

DPMON COMMENT: Wed Jul 6 17:27:10 GMT 1994
Well, the diffuser was stuck partially in the path, so I stopped Patrol and
Manually moved the diffuser out, then restarted Patrol.

DPMON COMMENT: Wed Jul 6 18:44:40 GMT 1994
The Patrol program crashed after getting to Limb when I restarted after
moving out the diffuser. Since this problem has been plaguing us I took some
time to figure out a way to gracefully recover from this type of crash where
the dPMon Status window shows Camera:Busy. Ideally we need to clear the
Busy state so that the program continues and writes to the same tape, but I
have found a way to bring the program down then back up without having to
reboot the computer like we were doing. Basically the existing Kill command
needs to include killing the "Status" and "Command" processes in addition to
what it now does, with those inclusions we can type Kill then change tapes
then type Run to restart. I'll see what I can do to make it work.

DPMON Comment:
After having the same crash problem as earlier I tried testing various
ways to recover from the "Camera:Busy" crash. I have several ideas that
I will test later to try to come up with a command to change the camera
status while running Patrol to allow us to unstick the program without
exiting or rebooting and without using extra tapes.
