Clear sky, wind 5 mph from the SE, temp 40 F., frosty this morning.

I have installed the spare tape drive using the special cable I received
yesterday.  I'll try to take data, if it doesn't work I'll contact David
Elmore, if it does work I'll try again on Monday and if everything is still
working OK I'll FedEx the old drive to David.

Still getting the above listed error messages as data is trying to get on the tape, the orange drive light is blinking when the errors appear as it did with
the original drive and since "New Day" started up OK it looks like the new drive is hooked up correctly.  Problem with Sparcstation?

Sky has begun to clear.  Dark storm clouds still loom in
the East.  Orographic clouds have moved upslope from West
and hovering around FOV.  Watching for a clearing before
restarting obs.

attempt a reboot.
