MKIII COMMENT: Sun Oct 1 17:14:50 GMT 1995
Idrop test. Micro channels A and B swapped, phasing changed from
A=b to A=8 and B=5 to B=8.

LOW-L COMMENT: Sun Oct 1 17:16:26 GMT 1995
LowL had a "graphic character crash" yesterday afternoon
at 22:45:56. L00319 popped. Coelostat stowed. I am not sure
if the crash occurred because Darryl concluded his vigil, i.e.
the doctor is no longer here, or if the crash had to do with
the power-down. DAK's last log entry was at 21:59:20, and I assume
that the powerdown may have occurred around the time of the LOWL
crash. LOWL itself was not powered down. Loaded L00321 into unit 1.
Rebooted LOWL.

COMMENT: Sun Oct 1 17:25:35 GMT 1995
GONG xterm restarted.

COMMENT: Sun Oct 1 17:38:50 GMT 1995
Going down to GONG shelter to check for problems.

COMMENT: Sun Oct 1 17:47:42 GMT 1995
Back at controlroom. Several GONG parameters in red, but Status
monitor indicates everything OK in there. I'll wait until
the instrument wakes up to see if the connection between
the instrument chassis and data chassis re-establishes itself.

LOW-L COMMENT: Sun Oct 1 17:55:03 GMT 1995
Cleaned Exabyte unit 1.

MKIII COMMENT: Sun Oct 1 18:01:28 GMT 1995

DPMON COMMENT: Sun Oct 1 21:22:51 GMT 1995
Cannot find documentation for Handbox cable pin-outs or for
"OT" power supply unit supplying power to M1. Will need to check
FB for original.

DPMON COMMENT: Sun Oct 1 21:38:21 GMT 1995
Optics runaway. I am poking around behind the DPMON OCP chassis.
cl
Guider lost tracking due to dome and orographic clouds.
Stopping to do a bit of troubleshooting.

WEATHER COMMENT: Sun Oct 1 21:43:15 GMT 1995
In orographic clouds.

DPMON COMMENT: Sun Oct 1 21:56:54 GMT 1995
"OT" power supply and hand box switches checked out OK.
Cable OK.

DPMON COMMENT: Sun Oct 1 22:26:49 GMT 1995
M1 problem most be occurring up near the motor. Will need to
study old documentation if available before proceeding. M1 is
part of original system and may not be well documented.
