Optical runaway, cleared it.

Fri Dec 1 18:00:03 GMT 1995: Calibration

MKIII COMMENT: Fri Dec 1 18:32:58 GMT 1995
The channel 1 calibration I was doing seemed to stall out without any error
message after the first scan, I restarted it.

MKIII COMMENT: Fri Dec 1 18:44:30 GMT 1995
Calibration stalled again at the same place, tried typing "programmer does
forget task" at the Decwriter terminal and then restarted the cal.

Fri Dec 1 19:00:02 GMT 1995: Calibration

MKIII COMMENT: Fri Dec 1 19:18:10 GMT 1995
I couldn't get a cal for channel #1, it stalled again, so I tried a cal for
channel #0, that stalled also. So I removed the tape and put in a new one
and rebooted the computer.

MKIII COMMENT: Fri Dec 1 19:40:20 GMT 1995
Calibrations seem to be working now.

Fri Dec 1 20:03:07 GMT 1995: Calibration

WEATHER COMMENT: Fri Dec 1 20:06:53 GMT 1995
Getting somee orographic clouds passing over.

LOW-L COMMENT: Fri Dec 1 20:14:11 GMT 1995
Stopped observations to check exabyte cable connections for Peter Fox.
Removed L00355 from drive #0, moved L00356 from drive #1 to drive #0,
installed L00357 in drive #1, restarted program.

MKIII COMMENT: Fri Dec 1 20:17:41 GMT 1995
I was able to get a calibration of channel #1, but the program stalled again
in the same place when I tried a cal of channel #0. I can't get a normal
response from the monitor to anything typed at the keyboard, tried the
"Programmer....task" and octal commands at the Decwriter with no luck.
Will remove the tape and turn off the computer and disk drives then start
from scratch again with a new tape.

MKIII COMMENT: Fri Dec 1 20:55:20 GMT 1995
I had trouble getting the computer to reboot. I had turned off the drives
and power then tried rebooting with no luck, repeated the process with
the addition of turning off the analog power also, still no luck. Finally
got it to boot by typing in the octal crash command after trying a regular
boot (unsuccessfully), after the command I tried to boot the computer and
it worked. I think we are back to normal now, but there are thick orographic
clouds preventing observations.

Fri Dec 1 21:00:02 GMT 1995: Calibration
Fri Dec 1 21:42:00 GMT 1995: Patrol End

WEATHER COMMENT: Fri Dec 1 21:42:06 GMT 1995
Clouds are very thick, closing down.

MKIII COMMENT: Fri Dec 1 22:10:55 GMT 1995
I am unable to run Activity and get an NMAP or NDIFF, I wonder if one of the
disk drives is full? I can't find any information on how to check this, I'll
have to ask Eric but he is away from home today and part of tomorrow.
I didn't get a cal on channel #0 today due to these weird problems.
