guider pushed off sun while working on CHIP temperature controller.
**CHIP PROBLEM**: Tue Mar 30 21:13:32 GMT 1999
Removed faulty temperature controller and opened it up to inspect innards.
Nothing obviously burnt or broken.  I was about to see if I could adjust
setpoint but decided to tap the Wavelength Electronics controller first.
Gave it a healthy tap with the back end of a screwdriver and the setpoint
voltage jumped from 0.556 to 0.643 (one of the later setpoints written 
into green notebook).  Subsequent taps did not change setpoint voltage.
Cold solder joint somewhere???
Reinstalled controller and filter temperature began to go down.  It just 
overshot the operating range.
I will try resuming CHIP observations.
