Extended the dome slot.
COMMENT: Sat Jun 26 20:54:58 GMT 1999
I got distracted while giving a tour and the dome was blocking the
instruments for a while before I moved it.

PICS COMMENT: Sat Jun 26 21:40:16 GMT 1999
I was moving the spar around about 20 minutes ago to check on some things.
**PICS PROBLEM**: Sat Jun 26 21:42:44 GMT 1999
I noticed that the objective wheel was in the Opal position instead of the
Clear position as it should be for observing. So I tried moving the
objective wheel and it keeps timing out and sometimes ends up halfway
between positions. I tried running Video to see what Eric saw, when the wheel
looks to be in the clear position the Opal field is white and the Clear
field is yellow, very strange. But in that clear position I can see
how the image looks overexposed and noticed that the shutter stays open
for at least half a second no matter what the exposure time is set to.
So there are 2 problems, the objective wheel and the shutter speed. To
address the latter problem I halted the computer and did another boot -r
to see if anything would change. I saw the messages about the camera
tasks being started at bootup. This time the shutter would stay open for
5 seconds and then closed for 5 seconds even though the exposure time was
set to 1 millisecond.

**PICS PROBLEM**: Sat Jun 26 22:13:22 GMT 1999
The objective wheel section of the GUI monitor shows the Opal field in
white, the Clear field is no longer yellow. Light is coming down from
the objective through a clear opening in the objective wheel. I found that
when I run Video then the shutter stays open for about 0.5 seconds, and
when I run Monitor it stays open for about 5 seconds. I made sure the
correct camera was set using 'sd'. The same symptoms are still here
regardless of reboot and 'sd' check.
