Thu Jul 28 17:13:09 GMT 1994: Patrol Start Thu Jul 28 18:02:20 GMT 1994: Filemark-Calibration LOW-L COMMENT: Thu Jul 28 18:40:41 GMT 1994 Was off in declination this morning, the protective hose around the telescope head had come loose and snagged sometime yesterday or this morning when the telescope tried to point to the east. I am testing the telescope drive with the lowl sx commands, will repair hose and restart the program if I can. MKIII COMMENT: Thu Jul 28 18:44:35 GMT 1994 Calibrating channel 0. Thu Jul 28 19:02:14 GMT 1994: Filemark-Calibration DPMON COMMENT: Thu Jul 28 19:18:49 GMT 1994 Switched to optimum disk image setup: 0.7" LS, 3.85 mm, 50 ms exp. LOW-L COMMENT: Thu Jul 28 19:19:45 GMT 1994 The instrument seems to be running OK after I restarted it, hopefully there is no damaged wires. Restarted with L00086 in drive #0. DPMON COMMENT: Thu Jul 28 19:26:54 GMT 1994 While trying to type CTRL-D to end the last log entry I hit some combination of keys that turned the mouse pointer into something resembling a small stop sign. I can't type anything into the console window now and I can't figure out how to exit this mode, tried: CTRL-D, CTRL-C, CTRL-D, etc. Thu Jul 28 20:02:16 GMT 1994: Filemark-Calibration Thu Jul 28 20:26:31 GMT 1994: Patrol Start DPMON COMMENT: Thu Jul 28 20:26:34 GMT 1994 Apparently the problem I had with the strange console window mode also crashed the program after taking a disk image. Rebooted and started a new tape. DPMON COMMENT: Thu Jul 28 20:28:18 GMT 1994 Back to the optimum limb image setup: 0.8" LS, 5.05 mm, 120 ms exp. COMMENT: Thu Jul 28 20:29:07 GMT 1994 Extended dome about 10 minutes ago. Thu Jul 28 21:00:22 GMT 1994: Filemark-Calibration LOW-L COMMENT: Thu Jul 28 21:46:41 GMT 1994 Patched up the flexible hose where it tore near the strain clamp on the telescope head, the cables appear to be OK. Beefed up the friction ring around the hose where it clamps to the cylinder, it shouldn't come out again. It had popped out of the clamp then a rib got hung up on the edge of the clamp when the head was driven east (this morning?). Everything seems to be functioning correctly.
