MKIII COMMENT: Sun Oct 16 17:21:15 GMT 1994 MKIII has cleared dome wall. Sun Oct 16 18:01:59 GMT 1994: Calibration WEATHER COMMENT: Sun Oct 16 18:26:23 GMT 1994 Small patches of cirrus passing through FOV. LOW-L COMMENT: Sun Oct 16 18:33:54 GMT 1994 Noticed that low-l has crashed again. Celostat appears to be pointing in correct direction. Am unsure why it has crashed twice in two days. Removing L00117 from unit 0. Moving L00118 from unit 1 to unit 0. Placing L00119 into unit 1. Will clean both tape drives before inserting new tapes and rebooting. Tried to restart barrel rotation with "/scan" then "scan" commands with no result. Tried "CW" and "CCW", then "scan", but barrel continues to stick when it reaches the limit. Will remove current tape, H00867, and reboot. Sun Oct 16 21:01:57 GMT 1994: Calibration WEATHER COMMENT: Sun Oct 16 21:03:22 GMT 1994 Orographic clouds have closed in from all directions. Now blocking FOV. WEATHER COMMENT: Sun Oct 16 21:11:32 GMT 1994 Sky becoming ominous. Will close dome and continue to work on MKIII. Sun Oct 16 21:13:05 GMT 1994: Patrol End MKIII COMMENT: Sun Oct 16 21:17:17 GMT 1994 MKIII barrel rotation appears to be working normally again. Reboot of 11/44 appears to have solved the problem. Not taking data to tape currently, due to dark low clouds and some ground fog. LOW-L COMMENT: Sun Oct 16 23:20:51 GMT 1994 Low-l has crashed again. Spoke with EAY about problem. He suggested recycling current tape (it has only ~2 hours of data) and rebooting system again. Will pay particular attention to Low-l in next few days to see if problems continue. LOW-L COMMENT: Mon Oct 17 01:04:22 GMT 1994 Low-l was powered off for a short while and has been successfully rebooted. Currently running smoothly.
