Tue Jun 11 21:40:00 GMT 1996 CHIP CHIP End Patrol DPMON COMMENT: Tue Jun 11 22:23:30 GMT 1996 Taking a closer look at the occulting wheel, there is already a counterweight mounted on the wheel. The old 1.25 R offset occulter position is emptier than it used to be before I removed the rest of the assembly to be used for the new lowk mask, but that was changed a long time ago, before we noticed the wheel imbalance problem. I'm not sure if anything was added to or removed from the wheel the last time the Boulder crew was here in April, I'll check. Just noticed that there is no play in the wheel when I move to a position in the CW (according to MCC video monitor) direction, but there is play when I move to a position in the CCW direction. Without any play we wouldn't have the occulting disk drift problem. Tue Jun 11 23:33:52 GMT 1996 CHIP ending tape COMMENT: Tue Jun 11 23:35:18 GMT 1996 Activity report: QP: 43; 65-85; 135; 220-240; 290-305. No coronal activity. TAPES: ****** MKIII: H01315 DPMON: P00634 CHIP: C00051 LOW-L: L00397 in drive #0 for most of day, file count had reset on 6/9, after 1600 it showed 2 files instead of 56 as it should have, so apparently the file count is still being reset to zero and it is occurring either at the end or beginning of the day. I let it run until today to see if it would change over to drive #1 after reaching an actual file count of 76 yesterday, but it didn't, so the file count on the screen jives with what the computer figures (incorrectly. So, removed L00397 from drive #0 and installed L00398 there and L00399 in drive #1, then restarted program.
