But due to a problem with the CHIP tape drive, and with Steve's permission, I removed drive #1 and installed it on the Kii system temporarily. I placed L00458 in drive #0 which is the only drive for Lowl temporarily. We can manually change tapes in the morning after a tape has more than 86 files on it, a tape can hold 106 files. CHIP COMMENT: Wed Jun 4 17:09:49 GMT 1997 Running with data going to tape drive #1 borrowed from Lowl. I installed the same active terminator on this drive that was used on the spare drive when it kept failing. The active terminator on Lowl tape drive #0 is the one usually installed on Lowl tape drive #1. WEATHER COMMENT: Wed Jun 4 17:34:29 GMT 1997 I don't see any haze or cirrus but the sky looks bright on the dPMon occulted images, and on the MKIII images. MKIII COMMENT: Wed Jun 4 17:35:54 GMT 1997 Scans look bad, as if signal is amplified too much, maybe it is due to dust or aerosols above us. DPMON COMMENT: Wed Jun 4 20:09:44 GMT 1997 Just noticed that there was an "Optics:Busy" crash on this instrument at 1928 also. Maybe the Ethernet connection problem caused loss of contact between the MCC and Kii and Nene, causing the crashes to happen at the same time. Will use Kill/Run to fix. It turns out that it wasn't a local network problem, at least not until I wiggled those connections. Did Kill/Run to fix it.
