The memidl.c:timeout counter keeps getting higher and it is now at 57. This is shown on the xterm window. I've been watching to see if it would clear itself but it doesn't look very likely so I will try Run again. PSPT COMMENT: Thu Mar 26 19:33:36 GMT 1998 I couldn't get the program to stop so I brought up another xterm window and rebooted after becoming superuser. PSPT COMMENT: Thu Mar 26 19:51:27 GMT 1998 I found the "problem", I had forgotten to turn on the blue rack and the shutter controller this morning. I cleaned the tape drive since the cleaning LED was lit. I'm still waiting for the program to get past the timeout counter sequence. The dome has moved and it looks like it will observe now. COMMENT: Thu Mar 26 20:43:15 GMT 1998 Extended the dome slot. When I repositioned the dome slot the Spar tracking was right on, so the balance is fairly decent for now, it is still a little unbalanced in RA though, I'll spend more time on it when it gets cloudy someday. It didn't seem to change much throughout the day. I couldn't see anything vignetting the lightpath before the occulting disk. The occulting looked good, but just to be sure I plugged in the O1 guiders for a while to recenter the occulting, then I unplugged them again. That didn't seem to make a difference. Maybe I'm seeing some kind of value wraparound or corrector effect. COMMENT: Thu Mar 26 21:13:53 GMT 1998 I plugged in the battery charger for the lift in the dome, while I was at it I checked the battery water level and it was full.
