LOW-L COMMENT: Sat May 30 19:00:23 GMT 1998 The program was running but the instrument was stowed. I couldn't stop the program using "q" during the "sync" part of the observing cycle. I turned off the power to the PC and tape drives, removed L00520 from drive #0, moved L00521 from drive #1 to drive #0, swapped the old drive #1 with the new drive (I'll call it Test Drive #1) using the new cable that Vic sent us. I then restarted the program, then "q" worked to stop the program and the instrument pointed correctly. I checked the connectors and all of them were 50 pin connectors, from the PC through the new Test Drive #1, Vic wanted to know. All fields are green so it looks like that new RTD sensor for the heater did the trick. Too many error messages for me to write down, xterm was in IDL, I tried to exit using Obs but it wouldn't point the telescope to the right place. I'll see what it does tomorrow, don't have time to spend on this right now.
