Hopefully the instrument can make it through a full day of observations so that the printer output will be useful. MKIV COMMENT: Sat Nov 28 17:27:09 GMT 1998 Removed tape 98331 and installed 98332 in Nahenahe drive. There is no loaf-of-bread on the MKIII scope, but the MKIV signal looks good. I had noticed the lack of animation and figured it was a bad file, and since the MKIV scans were good I continued to work on other things and therefore didn't notice the lack of "loaf-of-bread" until now. **MKIII PROBLEM**: Sat Nov 28 21:22:08 GMT 1998 The power supply on top of the OCP rack had a good output and the cables behind the rack were all secure. I switched to a MKIII output on the realtime scans and went upstairs and wiggled some cables at the back end of the barrel. First I wiggled the blue connectors which have given problems in the past, but nothing changed on the scan. Then I wiggled the line driver cables and nothing changed. Last I wiggled the rest of the small connectors at the back of the barrel (start pulses, etcetera) and the loaf-of-bread and the scans returned to normal. I'm not sure which connector may be bad. If this happens again I'll check them out one by one to isolate the possible bad one. Problem fixed.
