Half-wave plate motor seems to be the source. It is running hot. Upon inspection of analog monitor traces, I can see a slight variation in frequency, indicating that the bearings in the motor are getting bad again. I will change out the innards (rotor asembly) with the one from the spare to avoid having to rewire the darn thing.
