----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mauna Loa Solar Observatory Observer's Log ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sat Jan 8 17:51:57 GMT 2000 Year: 00 Doy: 008 Observer: koon WEATHER COMMENT: Sat Jan 8 17:52:00 GMT 2000 Clear, wind=5 mph from the SE, temp=42 F. **MKIV PROBLEM**: Sat Jan 8 17:52:15 GMT 2000 I could see that Nahenahe was rebooted yesterday in an attempt to get the akamai window to reappear on the monitor. But when I tried to login I repeatedly wouldn't open windows, so I rebooted again, then for some reason Nene rebooted itself too. Now the akamai window is back but it keep repeating parts of the startup script and the KCP monitor is stalled. Eric mentioned that the Home switch cam is in a new location but it looks the same to me, if it has been moved it must have been very slightly, it is fine where it is since it is near the middle of the Geneva drive locator "sweet spot". **CHIP PROBLEM**: Sat Jan 8 18:17:51 GMT 2000 Image isn't centered, it is low on the monitor, will try a Kill/Run cycle to fix it. Sat Jan 8 18:19:46 GMT 2000 CHIP CHIP End Patrol Sat Jan 8 18:24:09 GMT 2000 CHIP CHIP Start Patrol **CHIP PROBLEM**: Sat Jan 8 18:26:49 GMT 2000 Kill/Run didn't clear image location problem. Everything looks normal with the equipment, I'll wait and see what happens during the hourly cal when the CHIP objective gets moved around. In the meantime I moved the objective in the Y direction back up to the latest recorded position so that the entire solar image is on the CCD.
