The UPS is passing through power (bypass mode) but won't support a load if HELCO goes out again. The main symptom was that the display wasn't lit up, I tried several tests and determined that the Electronics Unit (EU) was bad. It probably has a sticky or stuck relay, this gave me a problem back in 2/4/99, and it always sounded strangely noisy when it did its automatic tests. The manufacturer, APC, is sending out a new EU which should arrive in 7 to 10 days. I won't restart the instruments due to clouds.
