No observations on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday because Darryl has been cut off due to flooding around his home and has been spending the weekend repairing flood damage to his driveway and property. He is also down with a cold. I have been helping friends and neighbors clean up from damage to their homes and property, fortunately flood run-off got close to my floor level but spared most of my house and property. Upon inspection, I found that the spacer I added to hold the new polycarbonate diffuser in place was too thick, the retaining ring was sticking up above the mount surface. This was causing the diffuser assemply to not close all the way and prevented the cover assembly from not closing more than enough to enable the close microswitch. Removed spacer and tightened down retaining ring as far down as I could. The diffuser has a very slight front-to-back play, not much, without the spacer. Left it that way for now. May make one with manila folder cardboard sometime. Both diffuser and cover closed all the way once the spacer was removed.
