Stopped it with C. I will try a reboot of the PC after I get the rest of this place under control. **LOW-L PROBLEM**: Tue Mar 14 17:05:46 GMT 2000 LOWL did a "graphics" crash yesterday at 02:55:41, message=guide, 59 files. Will change tape and restart. LOW-L COMMENT: Tue Mar 14 17:18:56 GMT 2000 L00676 unloaded, drive #1 cleaned, L00678 loaded into drive #1. Data writing to L00677 in drive #0 after reboot and time/date entry. **PSPT PROBLEM**: Tue Mar 14 17:27:21 GMT 2000 Rebooted PC but still got very high numbers set for focus limits. Did a "init sys" and got correct values. Did a "axis 6 goto 500" and a "axis 6 home". That appeared to work. Started observing program. Tue Mar 14 20:31:08 GMT 2000 MKIV Start Patrol **PSPT PROBLEM**: Tue Mar 14 20:31:36 GMT 2000 Once I initialized the system, Observing program ran along just fine as far as I could tell, with all the distractions, and 'fcs goto ....' requests were followed with 'position = ....' ramping up to the requested value. 2000 UT series went along OK, I watched it from the focus sub-series, until the last two requests. It was doing the red subroutine, and the messages on the PC did the following: fcs goto 1900 position = 1900 fcs goto 1950 position = 1937 fcs goto 2000 position = 1937 Ao it appears that the focus mechanism is starting to slip or stall from the last two focus attempts. **PSPT PROBLEM**: Tue Mar 14 21:22:48 GMT 2000 2100 series got thru the entire routine without a focus glitch. all goto requests ended up with fcs position at the correct displayed value. **PICS PROBLEM**: Tue Mar 14 21:25:05 GMT 2000 image dark. Investigating. **PICS PROBLEM**: Tue Mar 14 21:26:36 GMT 2000 Automatic dome rotator was not re-enabled after the dome shutter reconfiguration. Turned ADR on after repositioning the slot. Tue Mar 14 22:14:18 GMT 2000 PICS End Patrol Tue Mar 14 22:16:48 GMT 2000 CHIP CHIP End Patrol Tue Mar 14 22:19:56 GMT 2000 CHIP ending tape **PSPT PROBLEM**: Tue Mar 14 22:25:54 GMT 2000 2200 series ran successfully through the first subroutines, focus positions equaled the goto requests. During the last subroutine, which I call the focus subroutine, focus initially went to blue (250) correctly, but then went to 112 at the goto 50 request. Position remained at 112 throughout the rest of the fcs goto requests (50-450 for blue and cak, and 1600-2000 for red).
