I can see the inner pixels saturate on the monitor (double-hump o'scope trace) when barrel rotates around west. Checked guider and there is some E-W play at the back end. I will take out the slack by moving the back end UP -- gravity has the guider sitting on that screw. ___end___ **MKIV PROBLEM**: Wed Jun 11 18:37:55 GMT 2008 PICS limb image indicates the move was in the correct direction. Raw MK4 image on akamai monitor looks more even (inner ring) now when compared between the CW and CCW scan images. ___end___ Wed Jun 11 18:40:37 GMT 2008 PICS End Patrol Wed Jun 11 18:43:38 GMT 2008 PICS Start Patrol NICE MK4 IMAGE: 1836 PICS COMMENT: Wed Jun 11 18:45:41 GMT 2008 Checked and dusted off PICS O1. Rebooting KCC to pick it up and will run a scan in clouds to test if it 1. doesn't crash, and 2. if it writes the P and the S data into the files. If that works, then David will, later on this afternoon, reload tha old program back into the KCC. ___end___ Wed Jun 11 21:30:10 GMT 2008 MKIV Start Patrol MKIV COMMENT: Wed Jun 11 21:32:03 GMT 2008 BTW, Dome is closed so no coronal data will be taken -- just scanning and imaging the backside of the dust cap. KCC booted up OK. ___end___ MKIV COMMENT: Wed Jun 11 21:41:29 GMT 2008 Curiously both CW and CCW scans are split almost in half with two different "textures" on opposite sides -- like, the scan streaks radially the first half of the scan and then streaks circularly the second half, so the similar streaking pattern is on opposing hemispheres. ___end___ Wed Jun 11 21:48:01 GMT 2008 MKIV End Patrol MKIV COMMENT: Wed Jun 11 21:50:26 GMT 2008 Test over. Weather prevents further optical testing so we will resume on Tuesday or Wednesday after David returns. I have provided photo-documentation for Darryl in case the weather is good and the tests are done on Tuesday. ___end___ WEATHER COMMENT: Wed Jun 11 23:50:46 GMT 2008 Weather is nasty.
