I tried taking a manual image from the Sparc IDL GUI and I can see the Uniblitz shutter driver blink as if it received a signal sent to it but I couldn't tell if the shutter actually moved, I need another person's help with that, but then the Sparc showed that the timeout counter kept counting as if the Sparc is waiting for some kind of reply. I connected the shutter driver directly to the shutter and I could manually drive it so it looks like the manual controls on the shutter driver box and the shutter work. I can manually move the dome and the filter wheel via the PC so it looks like the PC is at least partially working correctly. We'll continue working on this but next week is very busy with both Michael Thompson and Steve Tomczyk visiting us and the need to get CoMP working correctly. If any log readers have any ideas please forward them to us at MLSO, for now the PSPT is down. I couldn't find anything obviously wrong with the PSPT electronics either, I'll request that the folks in Boulder send us the spare PSPT stuff for our troubleshooting now and in the future. ___end___ **PSPT PROBLEM COMMENT BY DARRYL**: Sun Sep 26 21:54:52 GMT 2010 An important observation: I smelled overheated electronics that seemed to come from the Uniblitz shutter controller or the area behind the PSPT electronics cabinet back when I first noticed that the PSPT was stalled, it wasn't strong and faded after a few minutes but it was noticeable. ___end___ Sun Sep 26 22:45:32 GMT 2010 CHIP End Patrol Sun Sep 26 22:48:22 GMT 2010 H-ALPHA End Patrol Sun Sep 26 22:50:53 GMT 2010 MKIV End Patrol WEATHER COMMENT: Sun Sep 26 22:53:28 GMT 2010 Low clouds have moved in. ___end___ CoMP COMMENT BY DARRYL: Sun Sep 26 23:26:15 GMT 2010 I filled the instrument with LN2 in preparation for possibly using it tomorrow, I turned on the Cropico temperature sensor and set the Lightwave temperature controller output to On, waited for Lakeshore temperature sensor to get below -170 C then turned on the watchdog program to monitor the camera temperature. ___end___ Sun Sep 26 23:55:03 GMT 2010 MkIV 17_40.rawmk4 18_52.rawmk4 19_58.rawmk4 21_00.rawmk4 22_09.rawmk4 17_43.rawmk4 18_55.rawmk4 20_01.rawmk4 21_03.rawmk4 22_12.rawmk4 17_46.rawmk4 18_58.rawmk4 20_04.rawmk4 21_06.rawmk4 22_15.rawmk4 17_49.rawmk4 19_01.rawmk4 20_07.rawmk4 21_09.rawmk4 22_18.rawmk4 17_52.rawmk4 19_04.rawmk4 20_10.rawmk4 21_11.rawmk4 22_21.rawmk4 17_55.rawmk4 19_07.rawmk4 20_13.rawmk4 21_14.rawmk4 22_24.rawmk4 17_58.rawmk4 19_10.rawmk4 20_16.rawmk4 21_17.rawmk4 22_27.rawmk4 18_01.rawmk4 19_13.rawmk4 20_19.rawmk4 21_20.rawmk4 22_30.rawmk4 18_04.rawmk4 19_16.rawmk4 20_21.rawmk4 21_23.rawmk4 22_32.rawmk4 18_07.rawmk4 19_19.rawmk4 20_24.rawmk4 21_26.rawmk4 22_35.rawmk4 18_13.rawmk4 19_22.rawmk4 20_27.rawmk4 21_29.rawmk4 22_38.rawmk4 18_19.rawmk4 19_28.rawmk4 20_30.rawmk4 21_32.rawmk4 22_41.rawmk4 18_25.rawmk4 19_32.rawmk4 20_33.rawmk4 21_35.rawmk4 22_44.rawmk4 18_29.rawmk4 19_34.rawmk4 20_36.rawmk4 21_38.rawmk4 22_47.rawmk4 18_32.rawmk4 19_37.rawmk4 20_39.rawmk4 21_44.rawmk4 c18_10.rawmk4 18_35.rawmk4 19_40.rawmk4 20_42.rawmk4 21_48.rawmk4 c18_16.rawmk4 18_38.rawmk4 19_43.rawmk4 20_45.rawmk4 21_51.rawmk4 c18_22.rawmk4 18_41.rawmk4 19_46.rawmk4 20_48.rawmk4 21_53.rawmk4 18_44.rawmk4 19_49.rawmk4 20_51.rawmk4 21_56.rawmk4 18_47.rawmk4 19_52.rawmk4 20_54.rawmk4 22_02.rawmk4 18_49.rawmk4 19_55.rawmk4 20_57.rawmk4 22_06.rawmk4
