The RAM I installed earlier seems to help with the crashing problem, no crahses yet. ___end___ **CHIP PROBLEM COMMENT BY DARRYL**: Thu Mar 24 23:02:59 GMT 2011 Fixed the problem, I traced it to the VMIVME 4105 board in Alakai. This board connects to the LCVR, in the recent past the frequent CHIP crashes appeared to be related to Alakai waiting for the LCVR to retune to a different wavelength so that older problem may be fixed now also, time will tell. The symptoms of this recent problem were that the GUI monitor didn't come up and the Kii VxWorks boot screen showed a "bus error", and alakai couldn't be pinged. Will try to get data through the clouds. It's interesting that the 4105 board I removed was labelled "spare" and the board I put in was labelled "original", so the apparently bad board is labelled "spare", we'll look into obtaining a spare that is good. ___end___ WEATHER COMMENT: Thu Mar 24 23:19:24 GMT 2011 Dark thick low clouds are moving in, fog visible in the distance, pausing instruments and closing domes. ___end___ Thu Mar 24 23:20:01 GMT 2011 H-ALPHA End Patrol CoMP COMMENT BY DARRYL: Thu Mar 24 23:35:12 GMT 2011 I put 3 more HDD in cabinet, deleted old data folders on CoMP PC, and I'll take down a data HDD to ship today. ___end___ Thu Mar 24 23:38:29 GMT 2011 MkIV 17_14.rawmk4 17_37.rawmk4 18_01.rawmk4 18_24.rawmk4 18_58.rawmk4 17_17.rawmk4 17_40.rawmk4 18_04.rawmk4 18_27.rawmk4 c18_42.rawmk4 17_20.rawmk4 17_43.rawmk4 18_07.rawmk4 18_30.rawmk4 c18_49.rawmk4 17_23.rawmk4 17_46.rawmk4 18_10.rawmk4 18_33.rawmk4 c18_55.rawmk4 17_26.rawmk4 17_49.rawmk4 18_13.rawmk4 18_36.rawmk4 17_29.rawmk4 17_52.rawmk4 18_16.rawmk4 18_39.rawmk4 17_32.rawmk4 17_55.rawmk4 18_19.rawmk4 18_46.rawmk4 17_34.rawmk4 17_58.rawmk4 18_22.rawmk4 18_52.rawmk4
