Restarted Pspt to make sure the data gets sent. ___end___ Tue Aug 20 23:13:50 GMT 2013: PSPT Abort Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Tue Aug 20 23:16:20 GMT 2013 Orographic clouds have rolled in, Pspt idled. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Tue Aug 20 23:19:18 GMT 2013 Drilled holes and mounted the SGS telescope. Currently trying to figure out a way to get to the limit switches. Will most likely have to remove the drill template. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Wed Aug 21 01:38:14 GMT 2013 Checked power of SGS Nema, so far everything checks out. Couldn't power on main computer, possibly due to the fact the main component is missing. Also was able to get drill template off the bottom of spar. Brandon will be working on getting the limit switches out for a bit after I leave. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Wed Aug 21 01:42:49 GMT 2013 In order to get access to the declination limit switches, we had to remove the lower bricks to open a panel. Therefore, the Spar is unsafe to unhook and move from its current position. ___end___ Brandon larson up at MLSO again today. Here are his notes: Today we accomplished 3 tasks: 1) Installation of SGS Telescope at the nose of the spar above the balancing system (See photo) 2) Power checkout of the SGS NEMA enclosure 3) Full Demo of the MLSO Limit Switch Assembly (See Photo) The plan for tomorrow: 1) Install the Dec Arm Proximity Sensor Assembly 2) Install Dec Arm Proximity Flag 3) Install the RA Motor/Drive (pending Scott's arrival) 4) Work on getting SGS computer installed and functional (pending Scott's arrival)
