The change did not work and we still missed at least one of the calpol changes. Worse the position values reported are wrong by a factor of 352.157 (the gearing ratio for the calpol). Post observing on Saturday this was corrected and calpol positions appear to have the correct factor again. The calibration code was also changed at that time to try another technique to FORCE the calpol to update into the fits header. It will be tested today. ___end___ Mon Oct 07 17:49:09 GMT 2013 KCOR Start Calibration script: C:\kcor\mlso-calibration22deg.ini KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Mon Oct 7 17:47:26 GMT 2013 Running a 22.5 degree calibration now. Sky conditions are poor so this is mosltly a test of the calpang fits keyword instead of a good data calibration. ___end___ Mon Oct 7 17:49:44 GMT 2013: PSPT Start Patrol Mon Oct 07 18:03:18 GMT 2013 COMP End Patrol Mon Oct 07 18:10:55 GMT 2013 KCOR End Calibration Script Mon Oct 07 18:09:17 GMT 2013 COMP Start Patrol Mon Oct 07 18:11:19 GMT 2013 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Mon Oct 07 18:16:38 GMT 2013 KCOR End Patrol KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Mon Oct 7 18:14:38 GMT 2013 CALPANG change didnt work. I took a lot of calibrations of the inside of the dome, to try and trace down the source of the FITS header updates for the Calpol. It looks like more varibles then the calpol get effected but I only noticed on the calpol before today. I am working on chaning the way we handle the fits header; with the goal of making it a Functional Global variable instead of a pure global variable. If this works, the fits header will technically be local to a subvi whos only job is to hold the fits header in a shift register and return or update it as nessary. This should get rid of the synchornization problems we have now. So far I only have a prototype of this vi, so near term observations will risk missing fits updates. ___end___
