Temp43F, windspeed 14mph from the Southeast. ___end___ Thu Dec 12 17:53:18 GMT 2013: PSPT Start Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Thu Dec 12 17:49:51 GMT 2013 Comp had shutdown unexpected and was rebooted this morning. Kcor had everything out of beam. Put the lens cover and diffuser in beam before opening the dome and aligning the spar. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Thu Dec 12 18:16:33 GMT 2013 Focus GUI crashed after hitting the run button ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Thu Dec 12 18:22:21 GMT 2013 After focus gui crashed a number of times on start, I restarted Kcor, however, it crashed trying to shut down. So I did a hard boot. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Thu Dec 12 19:13:52 GMT 2013 Reboot seemed to have worked but crashed twice when trying to set the exposure. After restarting the focus GUI a couple times, I was finally able to set the expoasure, the MC4U controller worked properly and the images updated in real time. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Thu Dec 12 19:33:50 GMT 2013 Error *8601 occurred at Photonfocus_Toolkit.lvlib:pf_Get_Error_msg.vi:27. This error code is undefined. Undefined errors might occur for a number of reason. After I focused the cameras and started to focus the O1, it crahsed. Then restaarted the Gui and got that error message. Once hitting okay, it said the Port is closed. Going to shut Kcor down, power cycle the cameras and start up fresh. ___end___ Thu Dec 12 20:25:59 GMT 2013 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Thu Dec 12 20:32:55 GMT 2013 KCOR End Patrol Thu Dec 12 20:39:24 GMT 2013 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Thu Dec 12 20:58:20 GMT 2013 COMP Start Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Thu Dec 12 20:38:52 GMT 2013 Was finally able to focus the O1 on Kcor and tried as best to center it. The values on SGS were at -50, -40. I moved it to -40, -30. It looks centered but I'm not exactly sure. Starting taking Kcor and Comp data and will see how the afternoon progresses. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Thu Dec 12 21:19:57 GMT 2013 Looking at the stream, at around 21:00UTC part of the image in the upper left gets a little wonky, as if something, i don't know as if water had trailed it and distorted it? It immediately disapears in the next image. Not quite sure what happened. ___end___ Thu Dec 12 21:35:13 GMT 2013 COMP End Patrol Thu Dec 12 21:36:25 GMT 2013 KCOR End Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Thu Dec 12 21:35:18 GMT 2013 Starting to see some major leakage in kcor. Stopping Comp and going to try and recenter. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Thu Dec 12 21:41:25 GMT 2013 SGS was at -40, -30 and it's been changed to -70, -50. The spillage is gone and it looks centered but eyes can be decieving. Will see how it progresses. ___end___ Thu Dec 12 21:44:15 GMT 2013 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Thu Dec 12 21:46:21 GMT 2013 COMP Start Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Thu Dec 12 21:47:11 GMT 2013 The spilling might be the reason the images start to go wonky in the stream. Sorry ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Thu Dec 12 22:02:50 GMT 2013 Nope wasn't why it looked wonky. In fact, it looks like it's getting much much worse. ___end___ Thu Dec 12 22:08:56 GMT 2013 KCOR End Patrol Thu Dec 12 22:08:30 GMT 2013 COMP End Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Thu Dec 12 22:08:48 GMT 2013 Stopping Kcor and Comp to do some trouble shooting. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Thu Dec 12 22:52:05 GMT 2013 bits of cirrus are crossing the sky. Will wait before starting Comp. Have talked to Ben and emailed Alice to see if it might be something in the code that she just changed that might have caused the data to look bad. Hoping for the best. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Fri Dec 13 00:13:03 GMT 2013 Alice says the code looks stable. Was hoping to see if it was still deteriorating but the sky has been invaded with relatively thick cirrus and doesn't look like it will leave. ___end___ Fri Dec 13 01:38:24 GMT 2013: PSPT Abort Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Fri Dec 13 01:38:43 GMT 2013 Cirrus is getting thick, Pspt idled. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Fri Dec 13 02:21:20 GMT 2013 I plan on leaving half an hour early (or at least I was) because I had a suspicion that I may be getting a bit tired. I just proved myself right for as I romved the funnel after filling comp, I dropped the funnel, shattering it. It is currently on the side table upstairs on top of the zip ties. I tried looking for the repalcement but I wasn't able to find it. Sorry ___end___
