Restarted computer. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Sun Jun 22 16:57:24 GMT 2014 A bit too bright to run Kcor and Comp. Waiting for better skies. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Sun Jun 22 18:04:46 GMT 2014 Thank you Allen for helping me this morning. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Sun Jun 22 20:26:42 GMT 2014 Still too bright to start up Comp and Kcor. Adjusted the shutter just in case it clears. Noticed the shutter stutter when it was about to close and then again when it was almost done opening. It looked like the wheel at the bottom, before you reattach the bottom shutter, was sticking. ___end___ Sun Jun 22 21:57:17 GMT 2014: PSPT Abort Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Sun Jun 22 21:56:25 GMT 2014 Low clouds from saddle are slowly wrapping the building in fog. Pspt idled and domes closed. Just before these clouds came up, I lubbed the bottom wheel and ran the upper dome careffully up and down. It may have helped with the stutter but it might be the track support at the top. Would need two people to work on it. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Sun Jun 22 23:36:12 GMT 2014 As I was getting the grease spot that appears every once in a while on the motor housing of the upper/main dome, I took a look at the wheels at the top; one of them (left side if facing the motor) is missing the ball bearing housing, the center piece. Will need to have two people up to fix it. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Mon Jun 23 00:48:02 GMT 2014 After some careful consideration and planning, I was able to swap out the wheel safely. Once done, I greased the track, lubed the wheel and excerised the dome when the fog lifted. After it had settled, I made sure everything was tightened. ___end___ ****EVENT COMMENT BY waters**** : Mon Jun 23 01:15:41 GMT 2014 Lots of activity going on between PA90-120 and starts from this morning 16:30UT. Also, there is something extremely faint going on between PA 190-200 starting 16:23UT. It looks as if it's one prominence that collaspes into two around 19:40UT. Hard to tell. Can be seen in Gong. ___end___
