I think the root of the issue is that the main (Matrix-UPS 5000) has 1 or more bad batteries. So it is dropping the load side when we get power flucuations. To help midigate this I have moved the control room monitors onto wall power directly. Not exactly ideal in a real power outage since we wont have displays to use during the shutdown. But I think theise are the least important things to have plugged for now. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY berkey: Tue Jul 15 01:41:55 GMT 2014 More frustration with the Matrix-UPS MX5000EU. I have now moved the HawTel equipment, router and switch over the the Kcor UPS. The K-cor PW5125 now reports it has 16 minutes of run time. Ideally we would like to have more run time, but the Matrix-ups restarted 4 or 5 times in the last hours, so I dont think this is a good place to hook up the network equipment. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY berkey: Tue Jul 15 02:24:18 GMT 2014 SGS is currently plugged into the Matrix 5000. This hasn't been an issue today since the sky is to cloud to observe, but we will have to move it to one of wall power, the kcor ups or the comp ups to observe tomorrow. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY berkey: Tue Jul 15 02:40:18 GMT 2014 Computing summary for the end of the day. Observer displays (3x3 monitors) have been moved to wall power. Router, Hawtel equipment and switch have been moved to Kcor UPS SGS has been moved to wall power and is plugged into the sockets just south of the pier iwii and ulua are powered down. SHABAR (laptop) remians on the Matrix UPS KVM and video splitters remain on Matrix-UPS 1 of the 2 mlsoserver power supplies is plugged into the Matrix-ups the other into kcor ups ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY berkey: Tue Jul 15 02:48:25 GMT 2014 I don't know the status of the LDM connection between hawaii and boulder. Hopefully this was sorted out on the CSMT side. ___end___
