I aborted Pspt, turned off the dome rotation and went about getting it unwedged. Had to disconnect the ladder handle in order to get the dome handle free. I was able to move the dome enough to get the ladder off the platform and wall. Unfortunately, there is now a hole in the wall where the foot got stuck. But everything seems to be alright otherwise. ___end___ Mon Dec 22 18:10:43 GMT 2014 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol KCOR COMMENT BY waters: Mon Dec 22 18:08:03 GMT 2014 Ben looked into the problem that I wasa having with Kcor yesterday and while he was fiddling, he had to do a restart of the computer. Turns out this cleared up the errors that I got yesterday. Starting up today, everything looks good. Just started up a bit late due to the Pspt ladder fiasco. Sorry! ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Mon Dec 22 18:16:50 GMT 2014 Forgot to mention, the ladder is a bit out of shape but is still sits on the ground level and stable. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY mlso: Mon Dec 22 18:13:33 GMT 2014 Logged into kcor last night to troubleshoot camera/calpol rotator issue. Looks like to seperate problems. For the calpol rotator problem, I updated the way the mc4u gui learns about the calpol position. It used to just read answer after a move commanded by the mc4u gui. The gui was always unaware of changes made by other programs including the caliration scripts. I changed the logic to poll the calpol postion and update the position in the mc4u gui and fits header functional global variable. For the camera problems, I think kcor was unable to fire the triggers becasue the kcor pc didnt properly sync/load/some other technical sounding phase, its connection with the digital IO board in the NI backplane extension. Rebooting the PC got it to reconnect properly. I am guessing there is a way to force this sync/reconnect to happen while the computer is running but with out understanding the underlying cause of the problem it seems like rebooting the PC after bringing up all the other electroics is the way to go..... I hate the answer reboot until happy but it seems like the only working answer we have (right now). ___end___ Mon Dec 22 18:52:57 GMT 2014 KCOR End Patrol Mon Dec 22 18:53:44 GMT 2014 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Mon Dec 22 18:53:15 GMT 2014 There was another spike in SGS regarding the declination error again that caused the Kcor lens to close. The spar is clear on all sides. Maybe a chord is getting caught briefly somewhere. ___end___ Mon Dec 22 19:07:33 GMT 2014 KCOR End Patrol Mon Dec 22 19:07:33 GMT 2014 KCOR Start Calibration script: c:\kcor\mlso-calibration22deg.ini Mon Dec 22 19:23:15 GMT 2014 KCOR End Calibration Script Mon Dec 22 19:23:20 GMT 2014 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Mon Dec 22 21:02:10 GMT 2014 KCOR End Patrol Mon Dec 22 21:02:31 GMT 2014 COMP End Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Mon Dec 22 21:06:16 GMT 2014 SGS and Comp adjusted. ___end___ Mon Dec 22 21:08:53 GMT 2014 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Mon Dec 22 21:09:16 GMT 2014 COMP Start Patrol Mon Dec 22 22:04:54 GMT 2014 KCOR End Patrol Mon Dec 22 22:05:55 GMT 2014 COMP End Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Mon Dec 22 22:05:35 GMT 2014 Clouds are coming up from the East and West, Comp, kcor and Shabar idled. ___end___ Mon Dec 22 22:44:40 GMT 2014: PSPT Abort Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Mon Dec 22 22:45:27 GMT 2014 Fog has rolled in, instruments idled and domes closed. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Mon Dec 22 23:38:40 GMT 2014 It's starting to clear to the West but it looks like there is another fog bank coming in from the East. waiting a bit to see how it goes. ___end___ Tue Dec 23 00:12:47 GMT 2014: PSPT Start Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Tue Dec 23 00:12:50 GMT 2014 There are still some whispy clouds about, so I'm restarting Pspt. ___end___ Tue Dec 23 00:47:03 GMT 2014: PSPT Abort Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Tue Dec 23 00:47:01 GMT 2014 Clouds coming in again, Pspt idled. ___end___ Tue Dec 23 01:11:29 GMT 2014: PSPT Start Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Tue Dec 23 02:05:19 GMT 2014 In fog again. ___end___ Tue Dec 23 02:06:11 GMT 2014: PSPT Abort Patrol Tue Dec 23 02:06:15 GMT 2014: PSPT Abort Patrol
