We checked the website and the data had updated. I'm assuming that socketcam crashed since I was still able to do things with the Kcor synoptic and MC4U gui's. Thank you Joan for catching that and giving me a nudge in the right direction! ___end___ Sun Mar 15 21:31:41 GMT 2015 KCOR End Patrol Sun Mar 15 21:31:54 GMT 2015 COMP End Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Sun Mar 15 21:28:31 GMT 2015 Stopping data retrieval to start spar ocsillation test and camera verification for the kcor .ini files. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Sun Mar 15 22:25:32 GMT 2015 Current values for the RA PID settings: proportional gain (Kc): 46.400 integral time (Ti, min): .00556 derivative time (Td, min): 0.000 In order to set these values as default, you have to stop SGS altogether, rather than have SGS in standby. ___end___ Mon Mar 16 00:08:38 GMT 2015 COMP Start Patrol Mon Mar 16 00:20:55 GMT 2015 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Mon Mar 16 00:31:29 GMT 2015 KCOR End Patrol Mon Mar 16 00:31:29 GMT 2015 KCOR Start Calibration script: c:\kcor\mlso-calibration22deg.ini Mon Mar 16 00:47:24 GMT 2015 KCOR End Calibration Script Mon Mar 16 00:47:53 GMT 2015 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Mon Mar 16 00:31:33 GMT 2015 After the PID test and getting the camera serials, we ended up sealing up some holes with some tape and readjusting the RA drive. Greg noticed that it wasa still slipping in both directions but after about half an hour of adjusting it, couldn't get it out of the system. I'd definitely approve of the new RA drive. :) ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Mon Mar 16 01:07:16 GMT 2015 Just a comment or two on the visitors that are up today; an individual has thrown a couple of snowballs either at or close to some of the equipment around the NOAA building; one of the snowballs hit the blades on an anemometer that is in line with our building. It wasn't moving afterwards for about half an hour and is currently moving but looks lopsided now. Another snowball almost hit the platform that is between our building and the outhouse down below. I went and talked to the group down there and asked them to stop and respect the instruments that they are in the presence of. So far no more incidents have occurred and I'm keeping a close eye. ___end___ Mon Mar 16 01:54:17 GMT 2015 KCOR End Patrol Mon Mar 16 01:54:23 GMT 2015 COMP End Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Mon Mar 16 02:01:25 GMT 2015 Talked to another group that decided it was okay to go up the wooden platform that is next to the building facing our building down below. They apologized and such and I told them to respect the instruments while they have fun in the snow. Ended up giving them another set of people a tour of our facilities. Lots going on up here today. At least we got some good data and some good calibrations for everyone back in Colorado. Yeah! ___end___
