This leaded to a bad electrical connection and no/difficult right and dome rotation. The contacts were pulled out and cleaned up; now the dome appears to be moving smoothing to the right when commanded. ___end___ Mon May 04 18:27:37 GMT 2015 KCOR End Patrol Mon May 04 18:27:38 GMT 2015 KCOR Start Calibration script: c:\kcor\mlso-calibration22deg-20150323.ini Mon May 04 18:44:59 GMT 2015 KCOR End Calibration Script Mon May 04 18:45:16 GMT 2015 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Mon May 04 18:45:17 GMT 2015 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol **PSPT PROBLEM COMMENT BY berkey** : Mon May 4 18:45:32 GMT 2015 Pspt dos box crashed. In trying to recover I got PSPT into a werid mode where the telescope end up pointing to the North West hitting the platfrom safty wires. After this the control box was turned off and the clutches were sliped to put the telescope back into the nonimal start up position. ___end___ **PSPT PROBLEM COMMENT BY berkey** : Mon May 4 19:29:54 GMT 2015 I think the RA stepper motor or amplfier system may have gone bad. With the RA motor removed from the assembly; when trying to do moves under computer control the motor gave out a high pitch whine and did not move. Checking spares I cannot find a M2-2240-S in invenotry. ___end___ Mon May 04 20:44:11 GMT 2015 COMP End Patrol Mon May 04 20:55:27 GMT 2015 KCOR End Patrol Mon May 04 21:01:40 GMT 2015 COMP Start Patrol Mon May 04 21:03:54 GMT 2015 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Mon May 04 21:58:37 GMT 2015 KCOR End Patrol Mon May 04 21:58:47 GMT 2015 CoMP Paused for clouds Mon May 04 22:15:44 GMT 2015 CoMP Restarted from pause Mon May 04 22:15:44 GMT 2015 COMP End Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY berkey: Mon May 4 22:19:44 GMT 2015 Closing domes for fog. ___end___ Mon May 04 23:39:20 GMT 2015 COMP Start Patrol Mon May 04 23:46:28 GMT 2015 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Tue May 05 00:17:33 GMT 2015 KCOR End Patrol Tue May 05 00:18:13 GMT 2015 CoMP Paused for clouds Tue May 05 00:22:39 GMT 2015 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Tue May 05 00:22:43 GMT 2015 CoMP Restarted from pause **PSPT PROBLEM COMMENT BY berkey** : Tue May 5 02:16:39 GMT 2015 After some more trouble shooting it looks like the motor is working, but somehow not getting proper feed back. At this point after a "gdr home" the telesocpe takes off at full speed for a few 10s of degrees of motion then stops and the motor begins to make its high pitch whine. My guess is the issue is a poor connection where the cableing enters the bottom (south end) of the PSPT telescope). Tehse cables have a bit of strain on them and could been pulled to far. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY berkey: Tue May 5 02:25:11 GMT 2015 New virus checker installed on the office computer. ___end___ Tue May 05 02:42:09 GMT 2015 KCOR End Patrol Tue May 05 02:42:11 GMT 2015 COMP End Patrol
