The dome rotation is working again, the home switch problem was a software issue
, the home event needed to be reset which I was only able to do with the "init 
sys" command. We still cannot observe however due to a problem with the sun 
workstation. The normal user account pspt1 has disappeared from the hard drive.
The account problem has been fixed with the help of Alice which I've been 
making this log entry, so we should now be ready to observe.
