Powered up pspt with the new cables - no smoke, bangs or bright flashes of 
light. I entered a few simple commands from the pc, all worked. I then started
pspt program on the sun and tried a normal startup, which worked up until it 
tries to take the 3 dark frames where the program then hangs. So the new cables
don't seem to have fixed the problem of not getting data back from the camera.
