Which seem like they would likely be from either the O1 or field lens both of which were removed since Wednesday when we last had good data. Visual inspection of both lenses didnt produce and obvious culpruit. So the O1 was remvoed for a complete cleaning. The field lens was also removed from the instrument and spot cleaning of a few dusty area was attemped without removing the lens from its mount. This cleaning appeared to have some sucess however there is some hazy residue on the field lens that may benfit for a full cleaning (lens removed from its mount) at a later date. I am still a bit perplexed at the origin of the bright spots as they appear differnet from most of the kcor artificats we have seen over the mission and don't seem to have a obvious source on the lenses. It will be interesting to see if the spots go away over the comeing days when the skies finally clear up. ___end___
