This cleared up the artifacts in the inner field. I am a litte worried about the general level of residue in the outer field. Right now I am not really sure how to completely clean it. The planned future upgrade to the lens cell should help, may making it easier/safter to hold the lens during washing. But it seems like it woudl be nice if we could just take the lens and put it in some kind of bath overnight to clean/lift off any residude. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Nov 02 19:38:45 GMT 2016 The Kcor lens/occulter may not have gone into the telescope in the exacty same orientation as it came out. Visual inspections suggested the cell/occulter were installed correctly. But during the sgs alignment I found there was a slightly bigger then expected misalignment to comp. ___end___ Wed Nov 02 19:38:55 GMT 2016 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol CME Alert BY berkey: Wed Nov 02 19:59:15 GMT 2016 Possible CME seen launching near PA:270 around 18:00UT ___end___ Wed Nov 02 22:05:59 GMT 2016 KCOR End Patrol Wed Nov 02 22:06:29 GMT 2016 COMP End Patrol Wed Nov 02 22:09:44 GMT 2016 SGS Alignment complete Wed Nov 02 22:10:17 GMT 2016 CoMP occulter has been re-centered Wed Nov 02 22:10:27 GMT 2016 COMP Start Patrol on cookbook: synoptic-00007.cbk Wed Nov 02 22:12:59 GMT 2016 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited Wed Nov 02 22:16:09 GMT 2016 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Thu Nov 03 00:02:35 GMT 2016 KCOR End Patrol Thu Nov 03 00:02:36 GMT 2016 KCOR Start Calibration script: c:\kcor\mlso-calibration22deg-20150323.ini GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Thu Nov 03 00:03:17 GMT 2016 held off on kcor calibration to see how the activity on the west limb evolved but with no obvious activity running the cals now. ___end___ Thu Nov 03 00:19:51 GMT 2016 KCOR End Calibration Script Thu Nov 03 00:20:08 GMT 2016 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Thu Nov 03 00:20:08 GMT 2016 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Thu Nov 03 00:49:39 GMT 2016 KCOR End Patrol Thu Nov 03 00:50:03 GMT 2016 COMP End Patrol GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Thu Nov 03 00:50:15 GMT 2016 Comp camera is warming up Stoping observations for cryo fills ___end___ Thu Nov 03 01:09:13 GMT 2016 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Thu Nov 03 01:16:27 GMT 2016 CoMP occulter has been re-centered Thu Nov 03 01:17:00 GMT 2016 CoMP occulter has been re-centered Thu Nov 03 01:18:16 GMT 2016 CoMP occulter has been re-centered Thu Nov 03 01:18:17 GMT 2016 COMP Start Patrol on cookbook: synoptic-00007.cbk **CoMP PROBLEM COMMENT BY berkey** : Thu Nov 03 01:29:56 GMT 2016 Sounds like one of the board fans in the ESP3000 is going out again. ___end___ Thu Nov 03 03:22:44 GMT 2016 KCOR End Patrol Thu Nov 03 03:23:14 GMT 2016 COMP End Patrol
