Joan reported seeing some shadowing in the flat field images starting in January 28th. 

In a beam inspection I found that the top shutter melted (must have got full disk light on the shuter when SGS failed).  The melted shutter appears to have remained intact to shield the lower shutter from damage.   However the melted plastic expanded vertically shut that the shutter blades could no longer move completely out of the beam. 

I have removed the excess plastic which allows both shutters to completely move out of the beam.  However  the top shutter now has a 1/2" hole just slightly east of center.
