----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mauna Loa Solar Observatory Observer's Log ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sun Jun 18 16:13:55 GMT 2017 Year: 17 Doy: 169 Observer: waters WEATHER COMMENT: waters: Sun Jun 18 16:14:02 GMT 2017 Temp 47F with windspeed at about 4-9mph from the South. Cirrus covering a good chunk of sky with some altocumulus on the Eastern horizon. Waiting for clearer skies before starting up. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Mon Jun 19 01:27:44 GMT 2017 Did a bit of an inspection of the floor upstairs; it seems there are places where the orange ladder has pitted or removed the paint thats on the floor. Mostly by the Nema boxes. I had also propped open the dog house door to get air flow without opening the dome incase we got into some fog and the door stop I had used also brought up a little bit of paint. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Mon Jun 19 01:31:50 GMT 2017 The sky remained covered the entire day. Luckily no low clouds but the cirrus and altocumulus has covered the sky quite thoroughly. Here's to hoping for better skies tomorrow. ___end___
