The bullet hole in the Southwest quadrant is from a very stuck on piece of something that did not get blown off. There were some pieces of dust that did come off and I'm hoping that will help. I also inspected the field lens and blew it off because there looked to be something to the right of the occulter (when looking at it when the spar is pointing East). Hopefully the cirrus that popped up will move along so I can see if it helped. ___end___ Sat May 12 19:52:57 GMT 2018 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Sat May 12 20:22:49 GMT 2018 Sky is getting a little bright, pushing through it though. ___end___ Sat May 12 21:47:42 GMT 2018 KCOR End Patrol GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Sat May 12 21:46:25 GMT 2018 Some clouds coming in, kcor idled for now. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Sat May 12 22:35:43 GMT 2018 Closed the dome for low clouds abd fog coming in. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Sat May 12 23:04:52 GMT 2018 It seems the SGS home isn't working. I've hit it several times now and it won't light up. After hitting it again and going up stairs to look in the spar to see if it's moving at all, it looked like it was stuck hitting the South side. I gave it a little nudge and came back down to see if it helped. It hadn't but I ran the Home Dec on SGS again. It looks like it helped this time. I went upstairs and verified that it had homed properly and wasn't stuck. Hopefully this is an isolated event. The SGS Home Dec is currently lit. ___end___ GENERAL OBSERVATORY COMMENT BY waters: Sat May 12 23:25:55 GMT 2018 Clouds have rolled in, with intermittent fog, for the rest of the day. Hopefully we will get a better sky tomorrow. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: waters
