Jenoptik has been recently cleaned (~30 minutes after the last optimax o1 cleaning), with the legacy cleaning method. It is expected that this spare o1 will put more artfacts in that data than the nonimal/good O1 we have been running with. So the plan is to run with this lens long enough to get a good "before" first contact data set then pull it out for cleaning. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Jul 10 17:08:17 GMT 2019 Kcor started in the right state. We also noted that the sun rose in the east. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Jul 10 17:18:25 GMT 2019 Not getting nrgf images yet, but the super quickly images look pretty terrible. Big bullet on the east limb wiht lots of little artifacts in the SE. shutting down to put the optimax o1 back in. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Jul 10 17:34:39 GMT 2019 Optimax O1 reinstalled in kcor. Lens was blown off front and back during install. ___end___ Wed Jul 10 17:36:08 GMT 2019 SGS Alignment complete Wed Jul 10 17:37:24 GMT 2019 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited **KCOR PROBLEM COMMENT BY berkey** : Wed Jul 10 17:38:05 GMT 2019 The field lens spots in the kcor data yesterday seem related some dust that got on the lens during the vell black install on monday. Unfortunatly the dust would not blow off, so we probally need to clean the lens sooner than later. ___end___ Wed Jul 10 17:39:54 GMT 2019 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Jul 10 17:40:28 GMT 2019 Kcor started in the right polarization state. ___end___ Wed Jul 10 18:31:04 GMT 2019 SGS Alignment complete Wed Jul 10 18:48:43 GMT 2019 KCOR End Patrol GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Jul 10 19:07:16 GMT 2019 Dome closed for clouds ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Jul 10 22:43:49 GMT 2019 Light rain. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Jul 10 23:25:05 GMT 2019 Pulled the field lens out for inspection. Out side of the telescope I was able to blow off the dust spect that I think was the source of the SE artifact. This morning with the lens in telescpoe I was unable to get the rgiht angle the blow this off ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: berkey
