An issue was found with the worm mesh springs; where it appeared we were at the edge of their working range so they were not providing the full spring force to hold the worm onto the sproket gear. The 2 clevis pins that hold the springs were removed and 8 #6 washers were installed on the pins bringing us more into the center of the springs working range. ___end___ Fri Jan 24 22:50:34 GMT 2020 KCOR End Patrol KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Sat Jan 25 01:05:22 GMT 2020 Did a kcor inspection with Alfred. It was found that the modulator optics could move sun and anti-sunward in its mount. Duing this work it is likkly the modulator rotated up to 1 degree in its mount. Data taken after 23UT today should not rely out past calibrations due to this motion. Alfred will investiage how to prevent this motion on the Boulder spar modulator in the coming weeks. ___end___ Sat Jan 25 02:03:38 GMT 2020 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Sat Jan 25 02:19:26 GMT 2020 After the afternoon clouds came in the sky brightened up to the point we couldnt get any afternoon data. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: berkey, Alfred
