Some nice blue sky can be seen in holes in the clouds. Restarted K-cor; perhaps some nice images can be gotten in the open areas. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Aug 23 00:17:43 GMT 2020 Clouds becoming too thick. Stop K-cor. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Aug 23 00:18:22 GMT 2020 Closed Dome shutter doors and windows. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Aug 23 01:36:59 GMT 2020 The early morning had some high altitude clouds obstructing view, but they gave way to bright blue sky until early afternoon. Intermittent clouds began to come with areas of blue sky in between. Became mostly cloudy and had to finally stop K-cor and close dome. PLEASE NOTE: There are two straight lines visible in the K-cor image emanating from the occulter disk to the edge of image, located at 70deg and 25deg. I believe there is only one line, but the display is showing it twice. It appears to be a perfectly straight line so it is hard to tell if it is a artifact on the lens, or possibly a dropout in a pixel row. Recommend investigating. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: mcotter ONSITE STAFF:
