This morning when I cam in I texted Ben to call me when he was up so that I could restart all systems. Ben called me right back and he instructed me in how to get all the computers up and running. All systems came back with no problem with the exception of the weather satellite image. I found one online (not the same one as before) and put it on the TV screen. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Nov 07 18:21:36 GMT 2020 Opened windows upstairs ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Nov 07 18:21:41 GMT 2020 PM Blew off Kcor O1 ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Nov 07 18:22:22 GMT 2020 Ran Focus routine and got a nicely shaped parabola. Clouds are forming over the observatory. Shutting down Kcor. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Nov 07 23:52:01 GMT 2020 Cloud coverage over the observatory and the summit has increased dramatically. Closing the dome shutter doors and windows in case of precipitation. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Nov 08 01:39:19 GMT 2020 Clouds have retreated and the skies have cleared. Started Kcor. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Nov 08 02:06:16 GMT 2020 Realigned occulter. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Nov 08 02:08:05 GMT 2020 After aligning occulter the keyboard and mouse stopped working. I ended up power cycling the KVM computer a couple of times and it finally seemed to work. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Nov 08 02:11:25 GMT 2020 I was able to take about forty minutes of additional data, but unfortunately clouds are beginning to form on the western slope of Maunaloa and obscuring our view of the Sun. I have stopped Kcor, but will continue to keep the dome open in case it clears again. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Nov 08 02:30:38 GMT 2020 Clouds are increasing to the west and north. The clouds to the north are moving in rapidly toward the observatory. Shutting down kcor and closing up dome. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Nov 08 02:37:51 GMT 2020 Overall decent day of observing. Collected data most of the morning. Clouds began forming late morning early afternoon and needed to pause and close the dome until later in the afternoon when the clouds diminished. Additional data was taken in the late afternoon. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: mcotter
